Fuel: Coal, Pressure: 170 psi, Grate area: 3 sqft,
Direct Xhead driven fp, rocking lever Xhead driven ap. Kcond. No.2 type, 30" dia × 30" high, 110 x ¾" id tubes, 2 cwt bunkers, injector, fwh, hotwell, bilge ejector, Wkettle. Fitted in 1991.

Engine

Twin. 3 1/2" + 3 1/2" X 4"
Built 1972 by Brian Smith at Cadnam
sv valve. SLRG valve gear.
On 6 turned columns.

Propeller

3 blades, 21" X 40"
Shaft: 1 1/4" bronze

History

Built as steam day launch with aft cabin 1901. Owned by Marie Tempest and named after her stage show "San Toy". Converted to Petrol/Paraffin motor 1911 when owned Mr Chapman, Nottingham, later fitted with replacement fore and aft cabins and a centre cockpit. Owned by Major Rissock in 1960’s who fitted a Ford petrol engine. Acquired by owner in 1972. Major restoration involving re-ribbing hull, fitting a new aft saloon, and new steam plant; installed all by owner. First steamed 1978. Ref: Funnel 20, steamed every year since. Previously fitted with Merryweather ‘B’ size 1978-1989.
