Boiler

Babcock type WT Built 1986 by Ken Challice at Lower Swanwick
Fuel: Coal, Pressure: 130 psi, Output: 150 lbs/hr,
Condenser, injectors and dual mechanical pump from self leveling hot well. Designed by Mac Scott, 1x 6" drum header, 2 x flat mud drums, fitted 1996.

Engine

Compound. 2" + 3 1/4" X 2"

sv valve. Slip ecc. valve gear.
Built 1988 with SLRG and installed in Garlandstone. Sold to Ken Challice in 97 and fitted to Brunel in 1999. Rebuilt by Geoff Vasey 2002/3, converted to slip eccentric reversing, new vane air pump and twin boiler feed pumps added. Bronze HP piston, Titanium LP Piston.

3 blades, 14" X 20"
Shaft: 3/4" Stainless Steel

History

Fitted out with Stuart Turner engine by first owners Brian Lee and A.D. Daniels, first steamed July 1987. Acquired by Ken Challice 1992, engine changed to Beaver compound in 1999. Acquired by Geoff Vasey 2002, engine rebuilt 2003. Acquired by Roger Martin Feb 2004 for use in Forth Clyde Canal and Southern Highland Lochs. Boiler casing rebuilt. Sold to Ernst Biemer, Germany, Dec 2008.
