History

Former Admiralty 23' Steam Cutter c.1895, her as built appearance would have been akin to Steam Cutter 438 'MISCHIEF' which can also be found in this register. Following RN use she was converted into a Broads motor hire boat (1960’s). Found abandoned in the marshes, she was restored to steam and saloon fitted 1980 by C. Fairbrother who fitted a compound engine and Goodhand VFT boiler. Acquired 1984 by Roger Kent, removed to Windermere, fresh plant fitted by owner in 1988. Steamed all year round since 1984. Acquired in March 2022 by Chris Adamson and family, retained on Windermere. Winter 2022 will see the hull painted and some light restoration. (Formerly fitted with DesVignes twin ex YVETTE).
