Blue hull, varnished deck and interior. Decked over boiler. Wheel hydraulic steering.

Boiler

SBA VFT 102 Designed by David Beale,
Built 2020 by Steamwell Boilers at south
Fuel: Coal, Pressure: 200 psi, Grate area: 1.4 sqft, Heating area: 19 sqft, Output: 250 lbs/hr,
Steel barrel. 144 X 7/8" dia Expanded steel tubes. Welded with rolled in fire tubes construction,
non-condensing, engine driven pump, hand pump, injector, Windermere kettle, whistle,
Original boiler was w.tube Drums 6" dia x 25" long, drum ends held by a single stay, no welding. 74 copper tubes. Casing by owner, 26" long x 23" wide x 27" high. now scrapped. Bilge ejector, W kettle. 2021 new VFT 102 boiler fitted

Engine

2 cyl compound. 2 1/4" + 3 5/8" X 2 1/2"

Piston valve. SLRG valve gear.
Power: 4 HP
New twin engine fitted in 2012, based on a scrap Taylor engine, exhaust feed heater. tooth belt drive as below. On turned columns. Original engine (1999): 700 rpm, 4 IHP, 1.45:1 reduction toothed belt drive. Modified 2002 with piston valve & roller crosshead bearings, tooth belt drive to shaft 1.3 reduction. Engine 550rpm shaft 423 rpm about 4 IHP. Pressure lubrication to all bearings. 2019. Original compound rebuilt with piston valves on both cylinders & reinstated

New launch built to owners requirements, hull design by Selway Fisher, completed Dec 1999. Used mainly on Windermere ever since.
