Steam drum 3" dia x 22", mud drums 1½" dia x 36", casing 15" dia.

Engine

Vee Compound. 1 1/2" + 2" X 1 1/4"
Built 1995 by M. Popplestone
sv valve. Hydraulic-operated Helical Slot valve gear.
Hydraulic piston valve within crankshaft moves eccentric round pin moving in a helical slot. Cast aluminium frames. Condenser built into hull, cooling water intake at bow, exits amidships. Propshaft driven fp and air pump, 1200 rpm, 1½" IHP.

Propeller

3 blades, 14" X 18"
Shaft: 1" Stainless Steel

History

New launch designed, built and machinery installed by first owner, Maurice Popplestone on Union Canal. Approx miles steamed 1996 to 98 - 100 each; 1999 - 30. Acquired Feb. 2000 by Geoff Swaine and based on the Montgomery canal. Aquired 2007 by Matthew O’Crowley and Ian Rees. Based at Cowes, IoW.
