No.010. Drums 6" dia x 22" long, 64 x .5/8" dia x 15" long tubes, casing 23" x 23" x 24", casing and extra large firebox built by previous owner.

Engine

Compound. 2 1/4" + 4" X 3"
Design: 6A by: Stuart Turner
sv valve. SLRG valve gear.
Kcond., ecc. driven fp, Xhead driven Edwards air pump, 300 rpm.

Propeller

3 blades, 17" X 24"
Shaft: 1 1/8" manganese

History

Former motor boat hull used around Portsmouth Harbour area, acquired 1979, steam plant built and fitted by previous owner 1978 to 1984. Hull design and propeller arrangement almost identical with a 1930’s design called Pollywog by a US naval architect William Deed. Steamed regularly. Ref: From my Old Boat Shop, page 256. Purchased by current owner in September 2017 and currently undergoing full general restoration as she was unused for many years. Hope to re-launch in late 2021.
