Fuel: parafin, Pressure: 150 psi, Output: 30 lbs/hr,
1 X 0.39" dia Copper tubes. Copper & stainless coils construction, Stainless Steel superheater,
condensing, forced draft fan, electric feed pump, whistle,
Boiler development largely complete Sept 2020. Computer controlled monotube feeding into small drum/dryer.

Engine

Triple Expansion. 1 3/4" + 3" + 4 1/2" X 3"

Piston valve on HP, slide valve on LP valve. Stephenson valve gear.
Power: 5 HP
Light weight construction 90lbs. Aluminium bed plate, rods, IP & LP pistons and many other items. There is also an option to switch to electric power. 2 X 1Kw 48V motors using belt drive to the propshaft. Batteries can be recharged from the main power unit.

Propeller

Bronze, 3 blades, Left Hand, 14" X 20"
Shaft: 7/8" 316
1:2 step-up drive from engine as there is no room for larger prop


History

Fitted out 1986-1987 by Don Harmer, Amberley Chalk Pits Museum, W. Sussex for first owner Angus Mackintosh. Acquired at SBA AGM Stratford-on-Avon, Feb 1989, by Peter Shirtcliffe, used on River Great Ouse, c1996 sold to David Seaman. Sold to present owner August 2017. To be used on Basingstoke Canal at Odeham
