Boiler

VFT Built 2002 by TRS Boiler Makers at Derby
Fuel: Coal, Pressure: 125 psi, Output: 65 lbs/hr,
Xhead driven fp & ap, hand fp, injector, fwh, condenser. Type VFT101 (currently known as VFT100 in SBA Design Library). Steel, 15" dia x 28" high. 72 tubes. T&G cedar cladding. High lift safety valve. Blower and steam whistle. All bronze fittings. Copper Table Y pipework. Boiler tubes renewed 2013.

Single. 2 1/4" X 2"

Incorporates Anthony Beaver modifications - taller column, larger bearings and eccentrics. Automatic positive displacement lubrication. Original "D" slide valve replaced by piston valve by Malcolm Gwyn Thomas.

Bare hull aquired 2000 and fitted out by former owner Malcolm Gwyn Thomas who refined operation of steam plant and boat during subsequent years. Acquired by present owner in 2015.
