Stephenson valve gear.
Overhung crank with timing belt drive from the crankshaft to the output shaft with a 2:1 speed increase. Needle roller bearings are used successfully (so far) for the big and little ends and for the valve eccentrics. Plummer blocks are used for the main bearings. A mechanical lubricator injects oil into the HP steam, and wick/capillary action lubrication for the cross head. Cruising at 150 rpm engine speed, with double this for the propeller.
